Blues knocked back for Zola (no, not that one)

Blues have been knocked back in a deal to bring Crewe striker Calvin Zola to the club on loan.
The former Tranmere forward has rejected the opportunity to join the Shrimpers despite being left out of the Alex’s last four fixtures.
The Sentinel reports today that Paul Sturrock made an enquiry about the 25-year-old, who cost £200K in 2008, but was shunned by the striker who did not want to make the move.
