Sturrock to name strong side

Southend boss Paul Sturrock has stated that he will be taking tonight’s JPT clash with Barnet seriously, but will be forced into a number of changes.
Sturrock told the Southend Echo that he would like a run in the competition and will be fielding a strong side at Underhill tonight.
However, Michael Timlin is cup-tied having played for Swindon in the first round, while strikers Barry Corr and Blair Sturrock are both doubtful having sustained injuries in midweek.
Left back Johnny Herd is training with Crewe Alexandra with a view to a loan deal.
If the two forwards are not fit, then Nathaniel Jarvis is likely to make his first start having come off the bench in the last three matches. Harry Crawford could also be in contention.
Southend have twice reached the final of the competition, then known as the LDV Vans Trophy, in 2004 and in 2005.
