Assured Southend end losing run

An early goal from Blair Sturrock was enough for Southend to beat Rotherham and end a run that has seen the last three games end in defeat.
Sturrock chested home Josh Simpson’s right wing cross after just six minutes for what proved to be the winner.
Southend had the better of the game and should have extended their lead during a dominant second half.
