SOUTHEND have kept hold of their star players – for another week at least – after a nervous deadline day.
Blues fans were concerned that players such as Bilel Mohsni, Ryan Hall and Anthony Grant may have been the subject of bids from higher league clubs.
Indeed, Mohsni did attract a bid of £250K from Blackpool, but Southend United said that it was not an acceptable offer.
No inquiries were received for Anthony Grant, according to the club’s official site.
Paul Sturrock had hoped to bolster his squad with new players, but his targets were not interested in moving to Roots Hall.
