Striker Matt Paterson is believed to have been loaned to League Two’s bottom club, Stockport County, to aid their fight against relegation.
Sky Sports are reporting that the young forward, who has netted four times this season despite being out of favour for the vast majority, has signed for the Hatters on an emergency loan deal, the terms of which are not clear.
He has been left out of Paul Sturrock’s last five matchday squads, and has even seen centre back Bilel Mohsni preferred to him in attack.
Paterson could make his Stockport debut against Bury on Saturday.
