Youth team stars offered pro deals

SIX Southend United youth teamers have been offered contracts with the first team following an excellent season.
Left back Teddy Nesbitt, defensive midfielder and first-teamer Kane Ferdinand, goalkeeper Daniel Bentley, midfield playmaker Jamie Stevens, battling midfielder Alex Woodyard and winger George Smith have all been offered deals to sign on with the club professionally.
However, Julian Okai, Hicham Abdellah and prolific scorer Duane Ofiri-Acheampong have all been handed the disappointing news that they will be leaving the club.
