SOUTHEND skipper Craig Easton is considering offers from another League 2 club and other clubs north of the border.
The Blues midfielder, 32, is stalling on signing a new contract and is in negotiations with other clubs, according to today’s Southend Echo.
However, he is also locked in talks with Paul Sturrock to try and decide his future.
Easton impressed in the heart of midfield last season, scoring five times despite sustaining two calf injuries.
But the club captain is believed to be disappointed with the contract offered to him by the club, and is weighing up his options.
Easton began his career with Dundee United and made almost 250 appearances for the Tannardice side before moving to Livingston and then south to England, where he has stayed since 2005.
He has played under Paul Sturrock at three clubs – Dundee United, Swindon and Southend.
