Trialists could feature against Darts

SOUTHEND kick off their pre-season fixtures at Dartford tonight – and trialists are set to feature amongst the Southend squad.
A host of players featured in two trial games at Blues’ Boots and Laces training ground on Saturday afternoon, and some have been invited to take part in the fixtures at Dartford and tomorrow night against Great Wakering.
One of the players is believed to be Welling captain Jack Parkinson, who has spent three years with the Wings and has interested a number of Football League clubs.
Another player who could feature is forward Rohan Ricketts, who has spent the last couple of years playing abroad but started his career with Tottenham and also played for Wolves.
Blues are likely to field a different side in each half of both games as they bring players up to full fitness.
