Daniels signs up to deputise

25 Oct

FORMER Manchester United goalkeeper Luke Daniels is likely to take his place between the sticks at Barnet tonight after agreeing a loan switch to Southend United.
Daniels, whose parent club is West Brom, has made 101 appearances for six different clubs since joining the Baggies.
And the 23-year-old will be preferred to youngster Daniel Bentley tonight, with Glenn Morris out for up to a month with a thigh complaint.
Blues are also sweating on the fitness of several players after being hit with a sickness bug this week. Captain Chris Barker should play and will replace Luke Prosser, who is ruled out with concussion. Mark Phillips should be fit following a groin problem, but the remainder of Paul Sturrock’s line-up is uncertain.
