Southend out of Essex Senior Cup

A YOUTHFUL Blues side lost on penalties to Grays in the fourth round of the Essex Senior Cup.
A dire game ended 0-0, with Southend exiting the competition 4-1 on penalties following two saves from visiting goalkeeper Andy Hall.
First-teamers Anthony Grant, Glenn Morris, Luke Prosser and Blair Sturrock all featured, but the majority of the side was made up of youth team players and young professionals.
