SOUTHEND’S transfer window business continues apace today – the Southend Echo is reporting that the club is set to sign highly-rated Bolton teenager Jack Sampson.
The 18-year-old is described as a target man who is comfortable with the ball at his feet – and will provide an alternative to Liam Dickinson in manager Paul Sturrock’s arsenal.
Sampson, an England under 19 international, has also been on the books of Wigan Athletic.
He is expected to put pen to paper on a one-month loan deal later this afternoon.
