CHIEF executive Tara Brady has quit his post at Southend United, leaving the club’s future uncertain.
Brady has stabilised the club off the pitch during his year at Roots Hall, putting an end to unpaid players and bills, while on the pitch the team has risen to the top end of League Two.
Chairman Ron Martin said he plans to replace Brady, who did not show up to a fan’s forum last Wednesday, in the near future.
A reason for Tara Brady’s departure has not been given, but a recent interview with the Echo revealed he had been not enjoying the job as much as he had hoped. He also said he was disappointed with the low gates at Roots Hall despite the club’s lofty league position.
The news follows hot on the heels of the appalling 4-1 home defeat to Swindon last night.
