HARRY Crawford came in from the cold to hit four goals in Southend’s 6-1 reserve pasting of Stevenage on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old striker, who made his first appearance for the first team in seven months as a 90th minute substitute on Monday, signalled his intention to force his way into Paul Sturrock’s thoughts as the season draws to a close.
Crawford has been sidelined with a knee injury sustained while on trial with Dagenham, but he showed no ill-effects at Broadhall Way. Youth teamer Shamir Mullings added the other two goals for a Blues side that included trialist Jack Dean, a right back from Fulham, Cheltenham centre back Matt Williams and Ipswich winger Aaron Jones.
