Sturrock quiet on captaincy

17 Sep

With Craig Easton out with a calf injury, Paul Sturrock must choose a new Southend skipper for tomorrow’s clash with Morecambe.

And he is refusing to tell the media his choice, although the Echo is speculating it could be Chris Barker.

Meanwhile Bilel Mohsni is set to keep his ace despite his mistakes against Northampton, but Barry Corr could come into the side after returning from injury. The game is likely to come too early for Mark Phillips who is recovering from a hamstring injury.

It’s Morecambe’s first ever visit to Roots Hall and as The Shrimpers against The Shrimps, we really ought to be winning. Possibly.
