Simpson signs for pub team

31 Dec

Thankfully 2010 is nearly over. The news that summed up the year came today, when Josh Simpson snubbed Southend to sign for Blue Square Premier side Crawley Town. No, I’ve never heard of them either.
Still, it shows how far Blues have sunk in the last 12 months. Simpson penned a two and a half year contract, by which time their manager Steve Evans will probably be in jail again. Yes, him.
All At Sea’s sources tell us that Blues were a distant fifth choice for Simpson, who also had extremely tempting offers from the Romford Dog and Duck, the Rat and Parrot in Worcester, the Chelmsford YMCA and Colchester.
