FREDDY Eastwood has come home.
The 28-year-old today signed a two-year deal with Southend United after five years away.
Eastwood scored 65 goals for the Shrimpers during his previous spell which saw the club earn two successive promotions.
He enjoyed hero status at Roots Hall, but big money moves to Wolves and then Coventry did not see the forward, originally from Basildon, replicate his original success at Blues.
He rejoined Southend on loan for two months at the end of last season, and was a part of a storming run that almost saw the Shrimpers promoted automatically, only for them to miss out on the last day then fail in the play-offs.
Negotiations have finally been completed for the striker to sign a deal ahead of Blues’ first friendly of the summer, at home to west ham.
